Safety Considerations
Safety Considerations
Aerosom takes its customers’ safety as paramount just as directed by the United Nations Aviation Standards for Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Air Transport Operations (September 2012) whose aviation safety policy in line with safety management system principles include:
- Identification of safety hazards, analysis and issuance of safety recommendations;
- Establish acceptable levels of safety for aviation operations in consultation with the state of the operators and operator’s concern;
- Monitor and conduct regular assessment of safety level achieved;
- Improve the overall level of safety through appropriate recommendations;
- Ensure the adequate exchange of safety information among all stakeholders;
- Liaise directly with the state of the operator and operators concerning safety issues related to on‐going operations
In doing this, we take all risks on health and safety through regular monitoring of safety measures deployed in our hangar. In addition to the management principles by the UN standards Aerosom has put in place the following measures;
- Adopting ultraviolet cabin cleaning system and disinfection for all aircraft and the hangar to enhance hygiene and keep passengers from infestation of any diseases.
- Equipping our staff with tailored information as well as making sure they all undergo training on safety and safety measures.
- Availing well trained Wellness Ambassadors to provide essential travel health information and care to passengers in the airport hangar.
- Improve the overall level of safety through appropriate recommendations;
- Ensuring there’s a correct size and classification of fire extinguishers properly mounted
